Bad vaginal odor

Bad vaginal odor is a common condition that sometimes a woman possessed. An estimated 30% of women do not experience. Many women assume that vaginal odor is due to the lack of personal hygiene so that excessive washing. You do not realize that it actually worsens the problem.

Causes

The interior of the vagina has a large number of microorganisms in the vaginal flora. Flora is usually created by the type of Lactobacillus, the role of an acidic environment that protects the vagina. Thus, the vagina to protect themselves from infection and bacteria. In a healthy state, maintain the balance of vaginal flora, so it has no odor or only faint characteristic odor. Management

If you have a vaginal odor problem, the first thing to do again a balance of acid in the vaginal flora. Wash the genital area with mild soap and warm water, a neutral pH is sufficient in most cases. If the problem persists after a few days, consult your doctor. The doctor can check to see if it could cause other disorders, such as sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) or infections that smell.

How to prevent bacterial vaginosis?

Most vaginosis occurs for no apparent reason and can not be prevented. Some of these tips can reduce the risk of not disturbing the normal balance of vaginal flora:

    Do not push the water into the vagina to get it (showers) to clean.
    No oil filling, antiseptics, soaps, shampoos, etc. in the water.
    Do not use laundry detergents.
    Do not wash your vagina too often. Once a day is enough.
